About The Artist

Peebles based silversmith Edith Weber works mostly in silver with occasional use of brass, copper and touches of gold. Semi precious gemstones and freshwater pearls are used to highlight some designs. From a sheet of plain silver or wire she enjoys creating interesting textures on the metal using hammers or drills taking inspiration from everyday materials like fabric, paper and string, or from leaves and seeds collected whilst walking in the local countryside.
