About The Artist
Julie Hyslop
Julie Hyslop began designing jewellery in high school and in 1995 went on to Glasgow College and then Edinburgh College of Art to study Jewellery and Silversmithing.
She finds inspiration in her surroundings, especially in nature and loves to add colour through layers of enamel, alcohol inks and gemstones.
Working in Sterling silver and sterling silver metal clay, Julie enjoys experimenting with line and negative spaces often using forging and texturing techniques to create her pieces.
Her work is limited edition or One-Off originals and are hand crafted using traditional tools in her workshop on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
