About The Artist
Allison Young
Allison was born in Stirling and studied at Edinburgh College of Art before spending a year at Lodz School of Art in Poland. Her work usually features the sea, in particular Tiree and East Lothian. Allison enjoys painting the same places over and over again in changing weather and seasons. In the Western Isles in particular, the treeless islands reduce the landscape to strips of colour; sand, sea and sky.
